Moovit
FreeA public transit app that shows live arrivals, route options and service alerts for buses, trains and metros in many cities.
About Moovit
Moovit is a public transit app that plans trips across buses, subways, trains and other modes, including scooters where supported. It shows live arrival times, route options, service alerts and step-by-step guidance, and covers a large number of cities worldwide.
The latest iOS release notes describe optional Moovit+ features that use AI, such as AI Search for finding routes, personalised routes based on preferences, weather-aware routing and alerts about tight transfers. Users can also contribute information that helps improve transit data.
It suits commuters and travellers who use public transport in cities where Moovit has data. The app is free to download. Google Play declares ads and in-app purchases, with a paid Moovit+ subscription adding the newer features. A Moovit account is not required for basic trip planning. It covers a very large number of cities, which makes it a helpful backup when travelling somewhere new and unfamiliar. Local agency data feeds underpin the results, so accuracy tends to be best where operators publish detailed schedules.
Data quality depends on the city and local agency feeds. Compare with Transit or Citymapper if your area is covered by several apps.
