Google Docs
FreeGoogle's word processor for phones and tablets, with real-time collaboration and cloud saving.
About Google Docs
Google Docs is Google's word processor. The Android and iOS apps let you create, edit and collaborate on documents from a phone or tablet, with several people editing the same file at once.
Documents save automatically to your Google account, and you can share them with view, comment or edit access. Comments, suggestions and version history make it useful for teamwork. Documents can be opened and exported in other formats, including Microsoft Word files. Offline editing is available once enabled. The Google Play listing shows no ads or in-app purchases.
The app is free with a Google account, and storage counts against your Google allowance. It suits students, teams and anyone who needs simple shared documents on the go. Desktop users edit through a web browser rather than a separate app, so only Android and iOS downloads are listed here. Advanced layout and typography are more limited than in a desktop word processor.
On desktop, use Docs in a browser. These downloads cover only Android and iOS.
