Exodus
FreeExodus is a self-custody crypto wallet for desktop and mobile that lets you hold, swap and send digital assets.
About Exodus
Exodus is a self-custody cryptocurrency wallet available on Windows, macOS, Linux, Android and iOS. In a self-custody wallet you hold the recovery phrase for your assets rather than leaving them with an exchange, and Exodus pairs that with a polished, beginner-friendly interface.
You can store Bitcoin and many other coins, swap between assets in the app, and send payments. The Google Play listing also mentions a free debit card and worldwide payments. Recent release notes describe small usability changes such as showing network fees in fiat or crypto. There is no account in the usual sense, but you should treat the recovery phrase like cash. Exodus also supports connecting certain hardware wallets for extra security, which suits larger balances.
It suits people who want to control their own keys without a command-line workflow. The app is free to install, but swaps and network transactions include fees. Because you are responsible for your recovery phrase, losing it can mean losing access to your funds, and Exodus cannot recover it for you. Its core software is not fully open source.
Write down your recovery phrase offline and never share it. Compare swap rates against exchanges before moving large amounts.
