About PayPal
PayPal is a payments app for sending and requesting money, shopping online and in stores, and managing your PayPal balance. The Google Play listing mentions purchase protection and reward points on selected brands.
You can link bank accounts and cards, pay with a tap in participating stores, and keep track of recent transactions. The app also offers features such as sending money to friends and receiving payments. The latest App Store notes say the app has been simplified and made faster.
The app is free to download. Fees may apply for some transactions, such as instant transfers or currency conversion, and rates depend on your country, so check PayPal's fee pages for details. It suits shoppers and sellers who already use PayPal or whose merchants accept it. A PayPal account is required and may need identity verification. Use two-factor authentication and strong passwords, as the account is linked to financial details.
Turn on two-factor authentication. Check fees before sending money internationally or instantly.
