Kobo Books
FreeThe Kobo reading and listening app for buying and reading ebooks and audiobooks on Android and iOS.
About Kobo Books
Kobo Books is the companion app to the Kobo ebook store. It lets you buy ebooks and audiobooks, read and listen on a phone or tablet, and keep your library synced with a Kobo e-reader or other devices signed in to the same account.
The reading view offers adjustable fonts, sizes and themes, and reading progress syncs across devices. Audiobooks play in the same app. The latest iOS release notes mention more reliable progress and last-read syncing, improved audiobook playback, better accessibility and voiceover support and faster library loading.
It suits readers who buy from Kobo or who own a Kobo e-reader and want to continue on a phone. The app is free to install, and the content you buy is paid for individually. A Kobo account is required to use the library. The Play listing declares in-app purchases and no ads. The app also gives a way to try the Kobo ecosystem before deciding whether to buy a dedicated e-reader.
A natural fit if you own a Kobo e-reader. If you mostly read sideloaded files, a general ebook reader may be more flexible.
