About Amazon Music
Amazon Music is Amazon's music and podcast streaming app, with clients for Windows, Mac, Android and iOS. It offers playlists, stations, artist pages and a podcast library, and it ties into Amazon accounts and Alexa-enabled devices.
Google Play lists more than 100 million downloads and the App Store shows over 3.3 million ratings with a 4.7 average. Recent release notes describe general bug fixes and improvements. Winget lists the desktop app as version 9.4.0.2386, but with no release date.
Amazon Music has a free ad-supported tier, and paid tiers remove ads and add offline downloads and higher quality audio, according to Amazon's long-standing offering. Some tiers are included with Prime membership, but terms differ by country and have changed over time, so check Amazon's site for what applies to you. An Amazon account is required. It suits people already living in Amazon's ecosystem who want music on their phone, computer and Echo speakers.
Tier names and Prime benefits have changed more than once, so verify what your plan includes.
